A planning application for new townhouses in Lurgan has been lodged with the local council. The submission was made on June 24 by McCreanor & Co. Architects on behalf of Newpark Homes Ltd, which is based in Dromore, County Tyrone. If approved, the development will be accessed via Victoria Street.

The application has triggered a consultation period with several statutory bodies. The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) Roads Craigavon Office, DfI Rivers, and the Historic Environment Division are among those asked to comment. Other consultees include NI Water, the NI Environment Agency, and the Environmental Health department at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council. NIE in Craigavon is also being consulted.

NI Water has already submitted its response to the consultation. The other bodies are yet to reply. The application remains under consideration by the council’s planning department.
