N&R Devine has submitted a planning application for a residential housing scheme off Lenamore Road in Derry. The site sits opposite Sandbank Park and north of Sandale Park.

The proposal includes 14 semi-detached two-storey homes, four apartments, one detached home and one bungalow. Plans also provide parking and private and public amenity space.

A supporting planning statement indicates the development supports Derry City and Strabane District Council's objective to deliver 9000 new quality homes by 2032.

The statement adds that the design, scale and layout will create a quality residential environment with an attractive built form along Lenamore Road from the northern city approach.

The application awaits a decision from the DC&SDC Planning Committee.
