A 22-year-old woman has been remanded in custody after a district judge concluded she had exhausted all available options following repeated bail breaches.

Courtney Temple, of no fixed abode, was arrested after police were called when her bail address was withdrawn. Officers noted she was under the influence of alcohol and refused to provide a breath sample, contravening conditions imposed just six days earlier.

Police objected to bail, noting this was her third breach within a month. They said Temple's offending is directly linked to alcohol consumption and that she poses a risk to the public while drinking.

Defence barrister Sinead Rogan told the court that the recent breaches did not involve any new criminal offending.

District Judge Suzanne Rice refused bail, stating that Temple had run out of options and referencing her prior record. Temple is next due in court on July 16.
