Trust Security Duo Raise £1,200 for Alzheimer's Society with Giant's Causeway Hike
Two security supervisors from the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust have raised £1,200 for the Alzheimer’s Society by completing a 13-mile fundraising hike along the Giant’s Causeway coast.
Mark Ferguson and Alastair Robinson took on the challenge in support of a cause that has affected members of their own families. The pair explained that dementia touches many lives, and they wanted to contribute to efforts to support those impacted.
The route covered rugged terrain along the North Antrim coastline, and the walkers said it proved demanding at times. However, they emphasized that knowing their efforts would help others kept them going, and they thanked everyone who donated.
Fiona Savage, service lead for car parking and security at the trust, commended the achievement, describing the sum raised as a wonderful contribution to the Alzheimer’s Society. She said the duo’s dedication reflected the compassion they bring to their roles every day.
