Ballyvea FC celebrated its 50th anniversary with a dinner and awards evening at the Kilmorey Arms Hotel on Saturday.

The Mid Ulster Football League presented awards recognising the club’s reserve team for winning the Mid Ulster Reserve Division 2 title. The Newcastle League recognised the third team’s victory in Newcastle League Division 2.

Alan McConnell received an individual award for 45 years of playing and service to the club. Club chairman Trevor McConnell also received a gift.

Both leagues presented gifts to the club to mark the half-century milestone.
