Animal carcasses have been dumped illegally beside a school in Ballygawley, County Tyrone. The waste was left close to St Ciaran's College and near a river.

Sinn Féin councillor Eugene McConnell strongly condemned the dumping, saying it demonstrated a disregard for the local community. He said the location made the incident particularly concerning because of the risk to public health and the environment.

Councillor McConnell urged anyone with information about those responsible to contact the police. He added that illegal dumping is a recurring problem that cannot be tolerated.
