Rescue on Lough Erne after vessel breaks down near Crom Estate
Carrybridge RNLI responded to a call at 11.24pm on Wednesday after a four-metre vessel broke down half a mile south of Crom Estate on Lough Erne.
Four people were on board the boat when the engine failed to engage gear.
Belfast Coastguard requested the lifeboat crew attend the scene.
The crew assessed the situation and decided a tow was required due to the vessel's location.
The boat was towed back to Bun, the point from which it had departed.
Stephen Scott, spokesperson for Carrybridge RNLI, said boat users should carry out regular maintenance, keep a means of calling for assistance, and ensure lifejackets are available for all on board.
He added that anyone in difficulty on the water should dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
