Belfast Festival Hosts Launch of International Youth Graphic Novella
Young writers from Northern Ireland and the Caribbean have launched a collaborative graphic novella at the Belfast Book Festival, marking the culmination of an international creative writing project.
The event, held at the Crescent Arts Centre, featured readings of stories and poems by participants.
The publication, "How Can We Make This World Worth Knowing?", was released in partnership with the International Alliance of Young Authors.
The graphic novella was developed through Project Fusion Junction, supported by the British Council, which connected teenage writers from Belfast, Trinidad and Jamaica via a digital workspace.
Fighting Words NI, the youth charity behind the initiative, has engaged over 24,000 children and young people aged 6-18 since 2015, aiming to foster creative writing skills.
