The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) is holding an online information webinar on Monday 22 June at 7pm to detail its range of part-time equine study options.

Courses are delivered through online and blended learning from the Enniskillen Campus, allowing flexibility for those working in the industry. A two-year part-time programme leads to a Certificate in Higher Education in Equine Science and Management, validated by Ulster University and delivered entirely online.

Shorter accredited qualifications include Level 2 and Level 3 certificates in Principles of Horse Care and Management, approved by 1st4sport. These blend online lectures with interactive video meetings and an on-campus examination.

CAFRE also offers specialist short courses delivered through pre-recorded lectures, enabling study at any pace and on any schedule.

Laura Smith, Senior Technologist at CAFRE, stated that the flexible format means learners can continue working while studying and immediately apply new knowledge in their daily roles. She noted the approach suits a range of people, from school leavers to experienced professionals.

The free webinar will feature input from teaching staff and current learners. Full details are available from CAFRE.
