Equine students from the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) in Enniskillen gathered at the Westville Hotel for their annual Student Formal, celebrating the end of the academic year and the achievements of learners across all levels.

The event brought together students from Level 2 courses through to BSc Honours Degree programmes, providing an opportunity to socialise and strengthen campus connections.

Final-year degree student Nadia Donnelly, who helped organise the event, described the experience as rewarding. She said that seeing the evening come together successfully and everyone enjoying themselves made the effort worthwhile.

For several final-year students, the formal marked one of their last events before graduation. Many are now preparing to enter careers in the equine industry, with roles expected in riding establishments, breeding operations and equine businesses. Some degree-level students will soon begin industry placements to gain practical experience.

The Student Formal remains a key part of the CAFRE experience, offering a chance for students to celebrate their educational journeys together.
