Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council completed his term on Monday 1 June with the presentation of cheques totalling £22,000.

The funds were split equally, with £11,000 going to Epilepsy Action NI and £11,000 to Evora Hospice Care.

The money was raised over the preceding 12 months through donations and events.

Alderman Moutray said the support from donors and event participants had made the fundraising possible and would benefit both charities.

He also thanked those who assisted him throughout his term.
