BBC Food and Farming Awards to be held in Northern Ireland in 2026
The BBC Food and Farming Awards will be held at Titanic Belfast in October 2026.
This marks the first time the event has been hosted in Northern Ireland.
Nominations for the 2026 awards open at 6am on 22 May 2026 and close at 12pm on 15 June 2026.
A new category, the BBC Radio Ulster Food Hero Award, has been created for the event.
The award will recognise local producers and social enterprises supplying seasonal food that reflects Northern Ireland's food culture.
Paula McIntyre has been appointed Head Judge for the 2026 awards.
Adam Smyth, Director of BBC Northern Ireland, said hosting the awards would showcase local suppliers.
DAERA Minister Andrew Muir said the event would provide a high-profile opportunity to promote the agri-food sector.
Sheila Dillon said she was pleased the awards are taking place in Northern Ireland.
The awards are supported by Food NI with funding from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.
