Ballymena United names new Director of Communications and Marketing
Ballymena United FC has appointed Neil Coleman as Director of Communications and Marketing.
Coleman will oversee communications strategy, media relations, digital platforms and brand development.
The appointment takes effect ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
Coleman previously served as Head of Communications and Digital Innovation at the NI Football League for eight years.
He has worked with UEFA as Venue Data Coordinator since 2019 and currently holds the position of Client Director at Clearbox communications agency.
His association with Ballymena United began in 2010 when he was appointed Company Secretary.
Coleman authored the club's Official History in 2015 and served on the Ballymena United Youth Academy committee from 2016 to 2021.
Chairman Chris Selwood said Coleman's experience across football, communications and marketing makes him suitable for the role.
Coleman described the appointment as both exciting and a privilege.
The club confirmed that Ronnie McDowell has stepped down from the Board of Directors.
The next Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 10 June in the Des Allen Suite at Ballymena Showgrounds.
