A 23-year-old man has been charged following the theft of a vehicle from the Kashmir Road area of Belfast on 25 May.

He faces charges of aggravated vehicle taking involving dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop for police, and using a vehicle without insurance.

Police said the charges relate to a pursuit that ended with the driver of a grey Mercedes being detained in the Falls Road area of west Belfast.

The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on 22 June.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service as standard procedure.
