Police from the Road Policing unit in Mahon Road arrested a man in Belfast city centre after locating a stolen vehicle.

Officers spotted the vehicle while on patrol last night. They monitored it briefly before bringing it to a safe stop with preemptive tactics to avoid a pursuit.

One male driver was taken into custody. He is assisting police with enquiries.

The vehicle will undergo examination before return to its owner.
