Police are investigating a burglary at a home on the Formoyle Road in Macosquin.

Two masked men entered the property at around 1.15am on Saturday.

A man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were tied up and ordered to hand over money.

The intruders took two mobile phones, a watch and the keys to a blue Nissan Juke parked nearby.

They drove away in the vehicle, which was last seen on the Moore Road area of Derry/Londonderry shortly after 2am.

Detective Inspector Lenaghan said both victims were left badly shaken though not physically injured.
