Three Fermanagh musicians appeared on a Northern Sound FM programme dedicated to Irish traditional music. The broadcast included performances and contributions from Tommy McDermott, Dinny Leonard, and John McCann.

Tommy McDermott, from Lisnaskea, won the ballad singing competition at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in 1964. He helped establish the Fermanagh branch of Comhaltas and continues to support young musicians in the county.

Dinny Leonard, a fiddle player, has taught younger performers and promoted traditional music across Fermanagh.

John McCann, from Coa, is a two-time All-Ireland Fleadh champion on accordion and percussionist with The Tumbling Paddies. He recently completed Ulster Comhaltas adjudicator training and released a recording of 'The Blackberry Blossom / The Happy Man'.

Northern Sound FM serves counties Monaghan, Cavan and surrounding areas. The station maintains a regular weekend slot for traditional Irish music.
