Police from the PSNI Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team seized a scrambler bike in the Clonmeen area of Strathfoyle, Derry. They cautioned the rider for motoring offences after local residents reported concerns about anti-social behaviour.

Scrambler bikes generate issues for residents through associated anti-social activities and road traffic violations, including driving without insurance or a licence. PSNI stated they will keep seizing scramblers and e-scooters when road traffic offences occur or when the vehicles cause distress or annoyance to others.

Under relevant legislation, scrambler bikes fail to meet construction and use standards or vehicle requirements. Authorities restrict them to off-road use only.
