Police in Derry seized a scrambler bike in the Galliagh area on Sunday night. The Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team took the vehicle during a patrol around 8.30pm. Officers found the bike abandoned there.

The action addresses community concerns about anti-social behaviour involving scrambler bikes and e-scooters across the city in recent months. Police plan to keep working to reduce risks from such vehicles on public roads.

Scrambler bikes fail to meet construction and use legislation along with vehicle standards. Authorities restrict them to off-road use only. Police aim to lower harm to community members through these efforts.
