A GoFundMe campaign supports an eight-year-old girl from Bleary in Armagh facing treatment for Chronic Granulomatous Disease, a genetic immune disorder.

Connie requires intensive care at Great Ormond Street Hospital, including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. She faces major procedures in London beforehand.

The condition impairs phagocytes' ability to kill bacteria and fungi, causing recurrent infections in lungs, skin, liver, stomach, intestines, brain and eyes.

Connie travels with her mother Carrie, who must pause self-employment work without sick pay. Carrie's younger twin daughters remain behind, as hospital rules limit stays to one parent.

Friends launched the page due to Carrie's prior absences from work for Connie's hospital stays and appointments. The fundraiser exceeded £6000 and continues to grow.
