A 31-year-old man faces charges after an assault reported in Coleraine's Westbourne Crescent area on Wednesday, 6th May.

Police arrested the man in connection with the incident. He has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent along with possession of a class B controlled drug and other offences.

The man is due in Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 7th May.

The Public Prosecution Service will review all charges as standard procedure.
