Two Men Hospitalised After Machete Assault in North Belfast Burglary
Two men required hospital treatment after masked intruders assaulted them during an aggravated burglary in north Belfast. The attack occurred at a house on Ambleside Street. Police received a report shortly after 21:40 BST on Friday, May 1.
A number of masked men entered the property. They used hammers, crowbars and a machete against the two male occupants. The house sustained damage in the incident.
Both victims suffered cuts and bruises. The men needed medical attention at a hospital.
Attackers fled towards Upper Charleville Street after the assault. Police believe they went in that direction.
Detectives continue enquiries into the incident. They request information from anyone in the area who noticed suspicious activity.
