Around 50 walkers and runners gathered at Pavilion Retail Park in Strabane for a charity event honouring Ann Bell. The former SDLP councillor served two terms on Strabane District Council after her election in 1997. She stepped down in 2005 and passed away in 2021.

Bell's daughter, Linda Neeson, organised the walk and run. Neeson has raised more than £10,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society through multiple events since 2021. This event added an estimated £800 to £900 to the total.

Neeson thanked participants, donors, and volunteers for their support. She noted the community's generosity in time and money helped exceed her fundraising goal.

Shane Crossan won the race in 27 minutes and 17 seconds. Ryan White placed second, and Dominic Carlin took third. Mary Murphy finished first among women.
