Police from the PSNI Road Policing Interceptors team stopped three vehicles during a patrol near Kilrea on Friday, April 17. A red Mitsubishi Evo travelled over 135mph on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road. The driver stated they were heading to a Chinese takeaway. That driver faces court and possible disqualification.

Officers seized a blue BMW in the Kilrea area after checks showed no insurance. The driver served two periods of disqualification and lacked insurance. That driver will appear in court.

While waiting for recovery of the BMW, police stopped a black Seat Leon nearby. Checks showed no valid insurance. The driver held only a provisional licence and did not display L plates. That driver admitted the offences and faces court. The Seat was seized.
