The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency released data on baby names registered in 2025. Noah ranked as the most popular boys' name with 170 registrations. Grace topped the girls' names with 127 registrations.

Jack placed second for boys with 150 registrations. James took third with 135. Other top ten boys' names included Charlie with 123, Leo with 115, Oisin with 108, Theo with 106, Luca with 104, and Arthur and Jude with 101 each.

Fiadh ranked second for girls with 105 registrations, followed by Olivia with 101. Isla had 97, Lily 96, Emily 94, Annie 91, Aoife 85, Meabh 81, and Freya 78.

Arthur entered the boys' top ten for the first time since records began in 1997. Leo re-entered the top ten. Annie re-entered after one prior appearance in 2022. Meabh entered the top ten for the first time.

In the boys' top 100, Naoise, Conn, Reggie, and Micheal rose most in rank from 2024 to 2025. Less common boys' names included Ace, Bowie, and Phoenix.

In the girls' top 100, Lainey, Millie, Cassie, and Harper climbed highest from 2024 to 2025. Less common girls' names included Wynter, Zendaya, and Pixie.

Registrations showed 2,225 distinct girls' names and 1,875 boys' names. Birth records included 966 previously unused names.
