The Odyssey Trust agreed to a 10-year naming rights partnership with Virgin Media O2. The deal rebrands the Odyssey complex in Belfast as The O2 Belfast from 1 July 2026.

The complex includes an 11,200-capacity arena, W5 science and discovery centre, W5 LIFE digital learning facility, and Odyssey Place with a Cineworld cinema. The arena's current SSE sponsorship ends in July 2026.

Virgin Media O2 will sponsor the Belfast Giants ice hockey team at the venue. O2 customers receive pre-sale ticket access to events 48 hours before general release via the Priority Tickets platform.

Virgin Media O2 will deploy its fibre network at the site, add O2 WiFi, and provide 5G coverage for customers this summer. The company will offer discounts and perks for W5 and W5 LIFE through Priority.

SSE Airtricity continues as the venue's energy partner and operates the SSE Rewards Lounge.

Paul McMahon, chief executive of the Odyssey Trust, said the partnership will deliver world-class experiences for visitors in Northern Ireland. Gareth Griffiths, director of partnerships and sponsorship at Virgin Media O2, said the company aims to enhance live experiences at the arena using its network and Priority benefits.
