Crew members from Portora Boat Club rescued a lamb on Lough Erne in Fermanagh during a training session on Sunday.

The rowers heard cries from a sheep near the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges. Coach Simon spotted the sheep at the river's edge searching for its offspring.

The lamb was located 20 metres downstream, trapped under rocks and tangled in trees.

Errie, coxing one of the boats, retrieved the lamb and returned it upstream to the sheep.

The crews were training ahead of the Sligo regatta.
