Carrickmore Mourns Death of 24-Year-Old Turlough McNally
Turlough McNally, aged 24, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He lived in Carrickmore, County Tyrone.
Powerscreen Crushing & Screening called McNally a friend and colleague who brought positivity to work. The company stated he would be missed by those who worked with him.
Éire Óg Carrickmore GAA club noted McNally's involvement from underage levels. He played on a minor county championship-winning panel and an Ulster Shield-winning team. Club members said he planned to join a fundraising cycle and described him as a friend whose absence would be felt in the club and community.
An Charraig Mhór Naomh Colmcille CLG identified McNally as a son and brother. The club recognised his roles as player, volunteer and supporter in activities and fundraising.
Mid Ulster Community & Arts Trust, through The Patrician, offered sympathy to McNally's mother Tracey, a trustee. The organisation extended support to the family.
St Joseph’s Grammar School in Donaghmore, where McNally was a past pupil, recalled his interest in the Irish language and culture. Staff and students hold memories of him.
TAS Controls, a business linked to the McNally family, described McNally as someone who greeted people with a smile and readiness to assist.
