Carrickmore Man Turlough McNally Dies Suddenly at Age 24
Turlough McNally, aged 24, from Carrickmore in Tyrone died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning. He was the eldest son of Declan and Tracey McNally and brother to Gabriel, Mattie and Morgan.
McNally worked in his family's Ecohog recycling business alongside his father Declan. He travelled internationally to sell machinery, including recent trips to America, Australia and Nice in France, from which he returned on Easter Sunday.
His aunt Lorraine spoke for the McNally family. She said McNally was loyal and selfless to family and friends. He would help anyone who called regardless of time or distance. She called him generous and funny.
An Charraig Mhór CLG club issued a statement. It noted McNally's history as a past underage player, league and championship winner, dedicated volunteer and ticket seller for the club's development draw. The club extended condolences to his parents Tracey and Declan McNally, club volunteers and supporters, past player Gabriel, senior player Mattie, U14 player Morgan, and the extended McNally and Fox family.
TAS Controls in Carrickmore also paid tribute. Staff there said McNally always offered a warm smile and willingness to assist the team.
