Dungannon Man Warned by Judge After Live-Streaming Drug Use on Social Media
Odhran Bartley, 26, from Dunlea Vale in Dungannon, appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court over an incident where he live-streamed himself consuming drugs and alcohol on TikTok.
On October 24, police responded to a report from a member of the public about the live stream. Officers attended his home, where Bartley surrendered a small amount of Xanax tablets.
A search of the property revealed cannabis along with 47 pregabalin tablets and 34 more Xanax tablets. Police called for medical help, and Bartley later admitted to possessing the drugs.
District Judge Francis Rafferty questioned Bartley about the intended viewers of the live stream. Bartley stated he had been very drunk.
The judge reviewed Bartley's prior record and issued a warning that he has one final opportunity to comply with probation services, or he will face custody. The judge also told him to stop live-streaming.
Bartley must return to Dungannon Magistrates Court on April 15.
