Man Charged Over Dundonald Assault That Caused Brain Injury
A 27-year-old man faces charges in connection with a serious assault in Dundonald that left another man with a brain injury.
The incident occurred on Friday, 20 March. Police received a report of the assault on 31 March.
The victim, a man in his thirties, sustained multiple facial fractures and a brain injury.
Police charged the suspect with grievous bodily harm with intent. They also charged him with possession of a class C controlled drug.
He is scheduled to appear before Lisburn Magistrates' Court on Monday, 6 April.
The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges as standard procedure.
