Police Chase Ends in Driver Arrest Near Portadown
Road Policing Officers from Mahon Road Station in Portadown responded to reports of a driver acting aggressively toward staff at a garage near Lisburn. Officers suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
With support from the Local Policing Team, officers attempted to stop the vehicle on the motorway near Portadown. The driver refused to stop.
Specially trained officers pursued the vehicle through country roads. They used tactics to halt it in the Craigavon area.
The driver fled on foot but was detained a short distance away. Police charged him with several driving offences and released him to appear in court.
The incident underscores ongoing police efforts to address drivers who endanger others on Northern Ireland roads.
