The Utility Regulator in Northern Ireland published a decision on modifications to gas conveyance licences held by seven companies. The companies are SGN Evolve Network Limited, Kinecx Energy Limited, Phoenix Energy Group Limited, Belfast Gas Transmission Limited, Premier Transmission Limited, West Transmission Limited, and GNI (UK) Limited.

The changes support access for gas from renewable energy sources to the gas network. They address definitions, connection arrangements, planning and operational setups, conveyance charging, licensed areas, and exclusivity.

The decision came after a consultation that ended on 22 October 2025. Six organisations submitted responses: SGN Evolve Network Limited, Kinecx Energy Limited, Phoenix Energy Group Limited, Mutual Energy Limited, GNI (UK) Limited, and GMO NI (Gas Market Operator Northern Ireland).

The regulator reviewed all responses before finalising the decision. Documents including decision notices under Article 14(8)-(10) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 appear in annexes A to G.

Consultation responses are in annexes I to N, with a summary and regulator comments in annex H. The licence modifications take effect on 27 May 2026.
