Farmer Welcomes Rare Quadruplet Dutch Spotted Lambs Near Magherafelt
A farmer on Killyfaddy Road outside Magherafelt welcomed quadruplet Dutch Spotted lambs on March 15. The farmer maintains a flock of 75 sheep.
Janine described the birth of four Dutch Spotted lambs as extremely rare in sheep farming. The lambs are doing well.
She began farming three years ago. She first encountered Dutch Spotted sheep at the Balmoral Show and purchased four to start her flock.
Janine built up the flock gradually. She learned to shear and maintain the animals. She called them affectionate.
The NI Dutch Spotted Sheep Society provided help and support.
