A new podcast series on BBC Radio Ulster investigates the 1991 death of Mary Glasgow at Stradreagh Hospital in Derry. The programme started airing on March 14 with five episodes released on BBC Sounds. The sixth episode followed on March 21.

Mary Glasgow worked the night shift at the hospital. A patient assaulted her near the end of her shift on March 23 1991. A colleague heard noise and arrived to assist. Staff tried to revive her but she died soon after.

Her husband Norman sought explanations for years after the incident. He died in 2021. The family contacted reporter Nathan Edgar years later during his research on the hospital's history.

They provided Edgar with Norman's research and documents. Edgar's series includes analysis from specialists who reviewed the case. The podcast centres on the family's ongoing effort to understand the events.
