Two men from Omagh appeared at Omagh Magistrates Court for a committal hearing on charges related to a car theft incident on May 13, 2025.

Ryan Lynch, 31, of Edinburgh Park, Omagh, faces accusations of encouraging or assisting offences by directing the vehicle owner to a specific location. His co-accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with robbing the owner after hijacking the Volkswagen Golf valued at £5,000.

Both men are jointly charged with stealing a wallet containing £400 from the owner.

A prosecuting lawyer stated a case to answer, which District Judge Conor Heaney accepted. The accused confirmed their identities and understanding of the charges but declined to call witnesses or give evidence.

Judge Heaney remanded them on continuing bail for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on May 12.

Police investigated after the owner reported the incident. Searches occurred at both men's properties, and they provided no comment during interviews, though they submitted statements denying involvement.
