Tesco Stores Ltd submitted an application to Derry City and Strabane District Council for external plant and a louvre on the south eastern side of Richmond Centre in Derry.

The application covers Unit 1 at the centre's Newmarket Street and Bank Place entrance.

Tesco Express serves as the convenience store division of Tesco Stores Ltd.

The company operates an existing Tesco Express outlet at Crescent Link in Derry.

Plans are in place for a new Tesco store at Melmount Road in Strabane.
