Ronan Keating TV Series Explores Derry Walls and Irish West Coast
A new television series on BBC Northern Ireland features Ronan Keating traveling the west coast of Ireland. The program visits locations including Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo, Donegal and Derry.
Ronan Keating’s Wild Atlantic airs on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer starting Monday, March 16. It moves to BBC Two from Monday, April 6.
In Derry, Keating tours the city walls with comedian Diona Doherty and visits a farm to observe competitive sheepherding.
The series includes Keating with family members and guests such as Westlife singer Shane Filan and artist Terry Bradley.
Other stops feature road bowling in County Cork with nephew Ruairí, hurling and fishing in County Kerry with brother Gary, horse riding in Sligo with Shane Filan, and a boat trip to Clare Island with nephew Conall.
Keating described the experience as special for revisiting places meaningful to his family.
