A resident in Armagh's Ardmore area has raised concerns over persistent dog fouling. She states the problem has continued for years along pavements from Jubilee Park to Ballynahone cemetery.

Dog waste also appears on grass verges beside walkways and on playing fields at Ardmore, according to the resident.

She holds pet owners responsible and questions why they acquire dogs if unwilling to clean up after them. A bin sits meters from the Jubilee Park entrance on the footpath, but it receives little use.

The resident contacted ABC Council to request area clean-up. She reports no cleaning crews have attended despite her outreach.

ABC Council plans to increase warden patrols in the area as a deterrent.
