Several roads and lanes in Mid Ulster face closures or restrictions over the coming weeks for maintenance and utility works. The Department for Infrastructure Western, BT Openreach, NI Water, NIE, Fibrus, Evolve, and Amey Transport Infrastructure carry out the projects. Diversions and traffic controls apply at all sites, with delays anticipated.

Hillhead Road in Magherafelt closes fully from Rocktown Road to Oldtown Road daily from 8am to 6pm, Saturday March 7 to Saturday March 21, for DfI Western work. Terrenew Road in Dungannon closes from No 15 to 300m east on Tuesday March 10 between 8am and 6pm for BT Openreach. Mullaghroddan Road in Dungannon closes from No 24 to 500m southbound on the same day and times for BT Openreach.

Pomeroy Road in Dungannon closes fully from Tullnagall Road to Coolmaghry Road daily from 8am to 6pm, Monday March 2 to Saturday April 4, for DfI Western, with five to 15 minute delays expected. Cookstown Road in Dungannon has a lane closure 180m to 220m south of Rossmore Road junction from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Tuesday March 10 for NI Water. Monaghan Road in Aughnacloy closes one lane 900m to 1050m south of Lettice Street junction from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Wednesday March 11 for NIE.

Derrycourtney Road in Caledon has a lane closure 70m west of number 40 entrance to 75m south of Castle Lane junction daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday March 9 to Wednesday March 11, for Fibrus. James Street in Cookstown closes the hard shoulder from Fairhill Road junction to Orritor Retail Park junction daily until Tuesday March 31 for Evolve.

Further restrictions include Tullyvar Road lane closure from A5 Tullyvar to A28 Derrycourtney Road in Aughnacloy daily 9.30am to 4.30pm from Friday February 27 to Friday March 20 for DfI Western. A5 Omagh Road in Ballygawley closes one lane from Grange Road to Rarogan Road from 9.30am to 4.30pm until Friday March 13 for Openreach cable recovery. The A4 Dual Carriageway in Dungannon closes one lane westbound from the start to Ballygawley Roundabout overnight 11pm to 6am until Monday May 11 for Amey maintenance.
