Causeway Coast and Glens Council has approved planning permission for a second-floor apartment above a vacant commercial property in Portrush.

The site at 9-13 Causeway Street holds a two-storey building. The ground floor previously served retail purposes. The first floor operated as a cafe and restaurant.

The building stands empty at present. This approval renews an earlier planning application for the same development.

Portrush lies in County Antrim along Northern Ireland's north coast. Local councils handle such permissions to manage housing and commercial growth.
