Officers from the Roads Policing Interceptor Team in Sprucefield halted a vehicle with tactics designed to avert a chase.

The car carried number plates that did not correspond to the vehicle itself.

The driver faced arrest due to an outstanding bench warrant. Officers issued reports for driving without a licence, without insurance, and fraudulent use of a registration mark.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of Class C drugs.

Police took possession of the car and secured the drugs. The driver has a court date scheduled.
