Nurse Emily Grenfell has retired from the Erne Health Centre in Enniskillen after almost 45 years of service in local healthcare. She worked for many years at the Treatment Room at the Enniskillen GP practice and at the Tilery Nursing Home.

Tributes have been paid to Grenfell by local figures and colleagues. Benny Cassidy, founder of the Enniskillen Banter Facebook group, described her as a 'true expert' after being one of her final patients.

Fermanagh Herald editor Roisin Henderson, a former patient, praised Grenfell's kindness, compassion, and helpful advice, noting that she stands out among the Treatment Room staff.

Social media posts from current and former colleagues highlighted Grenfell's compassionate nature. One colleague who worked with her for eight years said she would be missed terribly in the Treatment Room.

Another post wished Grenfell a well-deserved retirement, stating that working with her was enjoyable and that she is 'one of a kind.'
