A band from Strabane, Cash Returns, has featured in an episode of the Netflix series 'How to Get to Heaven from Belfast', created by Lisa McGee.

The band, led by John Paul 'JP' McCauley, was approached about participating almost two years ago by music producer Catherine Grimes. Members kept the involvement confidential until the show's release.

During production, the band met musicians Muireann Bradley and her father John, as well as performer Kirsty Coard. They also worked with actor Ardal O'Hanlon.

Filming sessions included performances between takes, with one extending into a two-hour concert.

Band members attended the series premiere in Belfast a few weeks before its launch on Netflix.

McCauley praised McGee for highlighting local talent and promoting the arts in Northern Ireland.
