St Vitus Dance have announced a one-off Belfast performance at the Ulster Sports Club, which will be recorded live for a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl. The four-track live release will contain two songs from their 1987 album 'Love Me, Love My Dogma' and two previously unreleased tracks.

The band formed in Belfast before moving to Liverpool, where they released 'Love Me, Love My Dogma' on Probe Plus in 1987. Lead singer Noel Burke joined Echo and the Bunnymen in 1989 and recorded 'Reverberation' with them the following year. St Vitus Dance later issued 'Glypotheque' in 2008 and 'Bystanders' in 2012; the latter was launched at a Belfast show alongside the Monochrome Set.

Support on the night comes from Barry Peak, who was raised in Belfast and is now based in Dublin. Peak was a member of the 1990s indie-rock group Backwater, which signed to Ché Trading Ltd and toured with Mogwai, Ash and Urusei Yatsura. The band recorded a session for John Peel. Peak later worked as a schoolteacher while playing with Torgas Valley Reds, and as a solo artist has appeared with Radiohead, the National, David Grubbs and Chris Brokaw. The Velvet Metro Vinyl Lounge DJs will also provide music.

The event marks the return of Ann and Ken Bartley's Belfast Unbound productions. Past Belfast Unbound events have included Shane MacGowan at the Menagerie, the Monochrome Set at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, and Scanner at the Belfast International Arts Festival. Tickets are available online.
