The Other Voices music trail returned to Derry for its 25th anniversary, marking the first time the event has been held in the city since 2013. The festival featured performances across multiple venues including St Columb's Hall, The Playhouse, New Gate Arts & Culture Centre and the Nerve Centre.

Local Derry acts Tramp, Tessio and The Marra performed alongside visiting artists from Scotland, Dublin and Manchester. Scottish band Brògeal, Dublin group Really Good Time and Manchester's Westside Cowboy all took to stages during the event.

Discussion panels, known as Soundings, were held as part of the festival. Participants included BRIT award winner Kate Nash, RTÉ Europe Editor Tony Connelly and Derry-based producer Caolán Austin.

The event was founded by Phillip King in 2001 and has previously featured artists such as Sinéad O'Connor, Fontaines D.C and Snow Patrol. Derry was chosen as the host city for this year's anniversary edition.
