Employees at the Terex Finlay facility in Omagh have raised more than £9,000 for three charities through a year-long fundraising campaign.

The Finlay Charity Challenge 2026 included two main events: the Finlay 595 Charity Challenge and the Knocklayde Challenge.

The Finlay 595 challenge marked the 30th anniversary of the Finlay 595 Heavy Duty Grid, a screening machine model. Participants committed to walking or running 5.95 kilometres each day for five consecutive days. Distances were completed around work schedules, with some employees participating while travelling in countries including France, Belgium and the United States. Collectively, participants covered more than 1,800 kilometres and raised over £6,000.

The Knocklayde Challenge saw team members travel to Ballycastle for a 14-kilometre hike to the summit of Knocklayde Mountain and back, involving more than 750 metres of elevation gain.

Matt Dickson, Business Line Director for Finlay, said the result was fantastic and praised the level of participation and support. He said the team is extremely proud of what was achieved.

The funds will be shared equally among Marie Curie Cancer Care, Children's Heartbeat Trust, and The Little Princess Trust. Marie Curie provides care for people with terminal illness and their families. Children's Heartbeat Trust supports children with heart disease and their families. The Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs for children and funds research into childhood cancer.
