More than a dozen street lights are out in the Mill Farm housing development in Mosside, leaving parts of the area in darkness during early mornings and evenings. Residents say the problem began after the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) removed an electricity supply.

The development, which includes an established residential area and a new phase under construction, is affected. Residents described the lack of lighting as unacceptable and a risk to public safety, particularly for elderly people and children.

One resident said pedestrians, cyclists and motorists are now navigating dark streets and footpaths. They said community members fear an injury is inevitable if lighting is not restored.
