Aidan O’Prey won the Mourne Golf Club season-ending Annual at Home competition on Sunday with a score of 42 points. John Murphy finished second with 38 points, edging Conor Keenan on a countback. James Maginn and Patrick McCommiskey tied for fourth with 37 points each.

Maginn also secured the Annual at Home Gross Prize with a one-under-par 70 on the Championship Links at Royal County Down. In the Seniors competition, Martin Greene won with 24 points, three ahead of Danny Hillen.

A total of 134 members competed, with 38 prizes awarded. Club captain Mark Guinness presented the prizes, including perpetual cups and trophies for the season.

Philip Maguire earned the Golfer of the Year title after a season-long contest, ahead of Niall Doran in second and James Maginn in third. Kevin Quinn won Captain’s Day, while John D Murray won President’s Day. Barry Hillen won the Club Matchplay, defeating Kieran O’Connor in the final.

Noel Crawford won the Scratch Cup, sponsored by Voipcom, while James Rodgers claimed the Junior Scratch Cup, sponsored by Premier Poultry. Niall Doran won the McKeown Cup, sponsored by Hillen Architects. The 80th Anniversary Competition was won by Pete and Kevin Murray, who also teamed with Oisin Murray to win the Gerry Toner Trophy for seniors and juniors.
