A 26-year-old man from Limavady has appeared in court charged with possessing an indecent image of a child.

Richard Long, of Benevenagh Drive, is accused of having an indecent image of children on January 8 last year.

He appeared before District Judge Suzanne Rice. The court heard the full file in the case is not due until January 2.

Long was released on bail on condition he has no internet-enabled device without supervision and has no contact with anyone under 18.

He is due to appear again on October 21.
